After researching options for repair/ adjusting the box and insulate, we decided to take the box off and look for a shorter (former) reefer box without the reefer since that is the cheapest option to start with. Looking for a former reefer-box on internet several options are available. However hardly anyone wants to sell those boxes as nobody reacts on inquiries by their websites. One did react and was in Edmonton AB. So after contact we went to see the one before we're making a definite decision about it.

Arriving at the yard NO box was found...

It was disappeared and/or no longer there. Really unfortunate as this box would have ticked all our boxes! So we'll have to keep on the lookout. Driving over industrial areas to see what may be hiding there.
