Inside cabin

Remember these seats?

Originally we had a bench on the right hand / passenger site.

Changing to two air-ride single seats was a no-brainer.

Left we have the original seat base from our model truck.

On the right picture the yellow line is level, you see the seat base in the red square that came with the seat (which was a newer model truck)

Best was to change it back to the seat base original for the truck to give a better drive experience.

This steering column is from a newer model then our truck, but it extends and tilts. It took some effort but I got it to work in our truck.

The only thing what I couldn't get to work was the indicator switch so I put the original one back and mounted it in place.

Well the seats and the steering column are done now, next the dashboard.

We found a soft-ish product in the dollar store and it looked easy to glue on all the components of the dash. And again I took the dashboard apart.

put back the switches,

Left photo: the next piece on top of the dashboard, center photo: the last part and then I start to mount all pieces back.

Nice!

Chairs, steering wheel and dashboard back in proper place.

What to do next?... AH! the grey vinyl sealing and side covers.

Which we don't like, so well try painting it black, practicing on a part we don't need any more and look! It actually works! So, here we go:

Also the hardware to mount the panels isn't forgotten.

Then we have this result:

And that's where we are now.

See you next blog.
